                Summer 2008 Playscheme

Bearsted Summer Playscheme 2008 will run Monday to Friday inclusive from 28th July 2008 until 15th August 2008 between the hours of 9.00am and 1.00pm at Madginford Hall, Egremont Road, Bearsted. The Scheme will be run on a pre-registration and pre-payment basis only.  The cost per session will be £4.75 (reduced fees are allowed to those parents receiving Job seekers allowance ,working tax credit, income support or unemployment benefit). The age range is from 5 until 12.                  

The Playscheme is registered with Ofsted and Bearsted Parish Council is obliged to abide by regulations concerning the protection of children. 

No refunds will be given unless a Doctor's Certificate is produced. The Parish Council accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of clothing or personal items and any lost property will be disposed of after a period of three months. 

Please ensure that you provide your child with a mid morning snack in a clearly marked container. Drinks will be provided by us.

Due to limited space no extra equipment, toys, etc., may be brought in by the children.

All children are required to stay for the whole period during which time the doors will be fully secured. It is essential that all children are collected by a parent/guardian at 1.00pm – please be prompt. Staff cannot accept responsibility for any child outside of scheme operating hours. If you are unable to collect your child and you wish some other adult to do so on your behalf we will require written authorisation from you. (Forms will be available daily)

 Parents are reminded that the children may take part in some 'messy play' and also the children spend some of the session outside and therefore suitable clothing should be worn. Would you please also ensure that sun-cream is applied and a sun hat is worn if required.

 It is anticipated that the following entertainment will be organised:

 Play Van, Fire Engine, Library Readings, Talent Contest, Sports Organiser, Badge Making and Games which will include snooker, table tennis, football and rounders.  It is also hoped to have the usual demonstration by the trainee search and rescue dogs . Many extra events have been organised this year

Friday, 15th August 2008 will be 'Party Day' and due to the popularity of this day bookings should be made well in advance in order to save disappointment. Attendance times for Party Day are 9.30am – 12.30 pm. Children should also bring a Packed Lunch with them for this day. Only children attending the scheme for two or more days can be accepted for Party Day. Please ensure you collect your child at 12.30pm on this day.
