
BEARSTED YOUTH DAY - 4TH JUNE 2010 was a great success with 114 young people enjoying the facilities available.
KCC Youth Service Youth Bus is visiting Madginford Hall every Tuesday from 4-6 p.m.
Come along and sit and chat to the youth workers, let them know what you want to do in Bearsted and find out about courses you can attend, days out organised and weeks away.
If you are aged 13-19 The Youth of Today's Local Councillor Shadowing Programme can give you the change so experience the day to day role of a councillor. Every day Councillors make decisions that affect the lives of everyone in their communities so why not find out how their decisions affect you.

Kent Youth County Council is a non-party policitical organisation, focusing on the issues of young people. Any young person aged 11-18 years inclussive, living within KCC boundaries, my vote or stand for election. There are seats available for 48 young people - four from each of the 12 local district or borough councils within the KCC area.
What do KYCC Members do?
· KYCC members help to voice the views and opinions of young people in Kent.
· Members are expected to attend at least 10 meetings per year. These take place on Sundays from 10:30am - 4:30pm at County Hall, Maidstone.
· Don't worry about getting there - we can help with that!
To become a member of the KYCC you have to:
· Live within the Kent County Council area
· Be aged 11-18 years (inclusive)
· Write a paragraph or 2 saying why people should vote for you
· Attend a filming session to record your statement. This might sound a bit scary but it is fun too! Youth workers will be on hand to support you and make you feel at ease
ST PETERS YOUTH GROUP
Meet on Monday evenings, term time only, from 7.00 - 8.30 p.m. The group for 10-14 year olds is open to all young people from the parish and their friends.
Cost of the evening is 50p per evening.
Activities during the evening include: Art and Craft; Football and Darts; Music and Dancing; Games and Quizzes; Drama and Discussions and Competitions.
