ACTIVITIES FOR THE EASTER HOLIDAYS

Rewind workshops keep kids occupied at Easter

Circus skills, street dance and portraiture art will all be in a week’s work for youngsters in the Easter holidays.

The circus skills workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 6 from 10am-3.30pm. It is designed for children aged 8-12 years old and will include plate spinning, juggling and unicycle riding.

The street dance session will be held on Wednesday, April 7 from 10am-3.30pm. It is available for children aged 7-13 years and will offer the chance to learn the latest moves and techniques such as free styling, breaking, waving, popping and locking.

The final day of fun is on Friday, April 9 with Portraiture in 2D and 3D from 10am-3.30pm. Aged for 7-13 year olds, children will be thrilled with what they can achieve in a workshop exploring the human face. From direct observations of a model, explore what makes you individual. Learn the techniques of light and shade drawing and clay modelling to produce a series of portraits and a half life size portrait face sculpture.

Each workshop is £12 per person, per day (£6 concessions) and will be in the Fourth Wall, Hazlitt Arts Centre, Rose Yard, off Earl Street, Maidstone, Kent.

Booking is available online at www.hazlittartscentre.co.uk or call Arts Development at Maidstone Borough Council on 01622 602828
