Compostable caddy liners are available from local retailers (Tesco, Sainsburys,Morrisons, Wilkinsons etc) but not from the Parish Council office. Maidstone Borough Council does not endorse any particular brand or supplier, if you are intending to purchase caddy liners please check that they are 100% compostable, these are generally made out of corn starch, potato starch or paper.
Some plastic bags may say they are bio-degradable but this does not mean they are compostable and will not break down quick enough during the composting process.

Garden Waste
Maidstone Borough Council have changed the garden sacks from plastic ones to ones made from a compostable material.
Due to these bags being more expensive to produce they will cost £3.25 per roll.
