Highways
Kent County Council are responsible for all highways services Roadwork problems:
- Pot hole, footpath repairs and general maintenance
- Street lights and signs that need replacing and repairing
- Grass, shrubs and weeds on or near the highway that need cutting or clearing
- Obstructions on footpaths and roads
- Blocked road gullies
- Flooding on the highway
- Salting and gritting or roads
- Snow clearance
- Traffic light management problem

ROAD SALTING
All class A and B roads, busy commuter routes and danger spots are salted by the county's 65 winter service vehicles.

Salt bins are usually placed away from the main roads near danger spots such as steep hills. They are there to help all road users, including pedestrians. Residents are asked to use the salt to treat ice and snow on small areas of road or pathways.
IT IS NOT FOR USE ON PRIVATE DRIVES OR PATHS.
