SATURDAY FREIGHTER SERVICE

Following six weeks of monitoring earlier in the year, the Weekend Freighter has undergone a complete review to reduce the amount of waste needlessly sent to landfill.

The new Saturday Freighter Service, starting on August 21, will no longer accept garden waste and large bulky items as the council already offers a more efficient and sustainable service for these items.

Garden waste can be easily recycled through the garden waste collection service, by home composting or taking it to the Household Waste Recycling Centre in Tovil.  The Bulky Waste Collection Service and weekly Household Waste Service still allow residents to dispose of the majority of household waste easily from their homes.
